In Manila, Philippines, 45% of the population is under the age of 18. Out of these children, 1 in 4 are abused before the age of 14. 1.5 million live on the street and 5 million work to earn a living.

My best friend, Alice, will be joining a group called Kids International Ministries and is traveling on a mission trip to Manila, Philippines. There, she and a few other high school students will be traveling to local orphanages, schools and surrounding villages to work with these children and give them hope, and most importantly, give them love. 

However, the mission trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those who are going on the trip. Unfortunately, my best friend cannot afford the trip.

I know she really wants to go to the Philippines to help these kids out from the goodness of her heart and I am helping her raise money to give her an opportunity to do God’s work.
